The Mirabel Foundation "When the children arrive" resource book for carers was launched on 28 April 2004. The Mirabel Foundation was funded by the former Department of Family and Community Services to produce and distribute the national version of this book .The book provides practical advice and information to grandparents and kinship carers who take on the raising of children, particularly as a result of the parent's substance abuse.
