SUMMARY:1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching | Manage Children's Difficult Behaviour\, Brisbane
DESCRIPTION:The 1–2–3 Magic® and Emotion Coaching program aims to teach parents how to deal with their children’s difficult behaviour by using a simple signalling system. \nThe system encourages parents and carers to be less verbal and emotive when met with problem behaviours in order to encourage the development of children’s ability to manage their emotional reactions to parental boundaries. \nAn evaluation using randomised controlled trials found that the program decreased participants’ anxiety\, depression\, stress and dysfunctional parenting style (source: http://www.ccyp.wa.gov.au/buildingblocks/files/BuildingBlocksFebruary2012.pdf) \nThis one-day course equips professionals with the knowledge to teach parents the program over three sessions and/or how to teach the tenets of the program in a few one-to-one clinical sessions.  Each participant receives professional practitioner training  resources to facilitate parent meetings. morning/afternoon tea & lunch are provided.  Active PD points apply. \nPresented by Michael Hawton\, MAPS (or various regional/master trainers) \nRegister online \n\n
