DESCRIPTION:2nd Australia and New Zealand Refugee Trauma Recovery in Resettlement Conference\n27-29 March 2019 Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre \nQPASTT is pleased to announce that the 2nd Australia and New Zealand Refugee Trauma Recovery in Resettlement Conference will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 27-29 March 2019. \nThe conference theme\, Healing in Exile – Current and Future Challenges\, will explore the most innovative and successful ways to support people from refugee backgrounds as they recover from trauma and resettle in their new context. International keynote speakers will address global perspectives and prominent national identities will tackle some of the most pressing challenges here in Australia. \nConcurrent sessions and talking circles will allow delegates to meet colleagues with similar interests in small groups and the workshops will provide the benefit of practical\, “hands-on” learning. The voices of people from refugee backgrounds will be central to all aspects of the Conference program. \nThere will also be opportunities for networking both at the Conference and at the social events held at the world class venue – the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC). The BCEC is ideally located in Brisbane’s unique riverside cultural and lifestyle precinct at South Bank. \nWe hope you can join us in Brisbane in March 2019 for three days of inspiration and knowledge sharing – your participation is vital to a great outcome. \n
