DESCRIPTION:Keeping good case notes and records can be hard.  It may be very time consuming and some staff may not know what to record or how to record in the most efficient way. \nThis 3 hour eWorkshop will help in taking some of the pain out of keeping case notes by giving clear guidelines on the how and why of recording as well as giving suggestions on what should be recorded. \nThe eWorkshop will be useful to: anyone involved in direct service provision who has to keep records as well as case managers; team leaders and supervisors; workers in out of home care and early childhood educators. \nThe eWorkshop will cover: \n\n\nwhy keep case notes and records? (this section includes a discussion of professional and legal obligations); \n\n\nwhat is a record?; \n\n\ncommon mistakes when keeping case notes and records and how to avoid them how to write in a way that is easy to defend and hard to attack and; \n\n\nhow to write case notes and keep records in a way that is respectful of the client and allows the worker to discharge his or her professional responsibilities. \n\n\nWhen: Tuesday\, 20th February 2024 from 9:30am to 12.30pm (AEDT). \nWhere: Online eWorkshop via Zoom. If payment has been received\, you will receive the Zoom details in the week prior to the eWorkshop . \nCost: The early bird booking is $195.00 (GST incl) if registered before 6th February 2024\, after the 6th February 2024 the Full Price is $250.00 (GST incl). The payment needs to be completed before the workshop occurs\, for the registration to be fully confirmed. \nFacilitator: David Cherry\nDavid Cherry is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who has been working for over 40 years. David has run training on how to keep case notes and records for over 30 years. David has a particular interest in assisting people to prepare to give evidence as professional witnesses and sees keeping good case notes as part of the preparation process. David has given evidence in court on over 400 occasions in Family Court\, child protection\, criminal and civil matters. \n
