SUMMARY:CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling in SA and NSW
DESCRIPTION:This qualification is on the approved list of courses for Vet Student Loans. Check your eligibility here. To understand your obligations under the VET Student Loans program please see this document here\, which includes information on the application process\, ongoing student obligations\, and how to cease accessing a VSL. \nThis course is delivered mostly online but does have requirements for face-to-face\, in classroom days. These are available in Sydney (Macquarie Park) and Adelaide (Hindmarsh) only. \nBecome a counsellor\, gain deep insight into why we think and behave as we do.  \nThe number of counsellors is expected to grow very strongly over the next 5 years. Learn a range of therapy techniques to establish and maintain positive counselling relationships and establish a personally enriching career as a counsellor. \nThis qualification reflects the role of counsellors who work with clients on personal and psychological issues using established counselling modalities. Learn the skills necessary to work within a case management framework. Develop effective communication abilities and understanding of how to refer clients to other services when necessary.   \nTraining is delivered mostly via self-paced\, online activities and assessments. Students will develop their own integrative approach to counselling through face-to-face simulations and assessment with practice leaders within the Relationships Australia federation. All students have access to interactive e-textbooks and a course facilitator for ongoing support.  \nStudents completing this course will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to work in a defined and supported counselling role in an established agency\, rather than in independent practice and will add practical experience to an existing qualification. \n
