SUMMARY:Engaging Adolescents & Resolve Teenage Behavior Problems\, Brisbane
DESCRIPTION:The course looks at what is reasonable teenage behaviour\, how to teach teenagers to manage their behaviour and emotional reactions\, how parents can build a relationship with their teenagers and strategies for dealing with unacceptable behaviour. \nThis one-day course equips professionals with the knowledge to teach parents the program over three sessions and/or how to teach the tenets of the program in a few one-to-one clinical sessions. \nEach participant receives a certificate of completion\, professional practitioner training  resources\, a license to facilitate parent meetings\, morning/afternoon tea & lunch are provided.  Active PD points apply. \nExpected learning outcomes:\n\n\nThe ability to conduct the Engaging Adolescents™ program\, as either a three-meeting parent education course or to teach the program one-to-one at your workplace. \n\n\nKnowledge to teach parents about adolescent challenges and how to hold reasonable expectations of their adolescent. \n\n\nKnowledge of easy-to-use techniques that parents and carers can use to enlist adolescents to manage their own behaviour and emotional reactions\, to build a relationship with their teenager and strategies to deal with unacceptable behaviour. \n\n\nPresented by Michael Hawton\, MAPS Registration Fee: $369 early-bird | $469 full fee Run Time: 8.30am registration | 9.00am Commencement | 4.30pm Conclusion Register online http://www.parentshop.com.au/child-family-specialists-training/teach-parents-of-adolescents/ \n
