Be a part of the discussion and join us for an engaging forum exploring the implementation of systems to strengthen family safety in family law. \nGuest speakers include: \n\nProfessor Amy Holtzworth-Munroe\, Clinical Psychologist and Researcher\, Indiana University\, USA;\nDr Troy McEwan\, Senior Lecturer in Clinical and Forensic Psychology\, Swinburne University; and\nDr Jamie Lee\, Principal Researcher\, Relationships Australia South Australia.\n\nMaster of Ceremonies:  \n\nDavid Jenkin\, Director of Howe Jenkin\, Family Lawyers & Mediators\n\nCPD – If this particular educational activity is relevant to your immediate or long term needs regarding professional development and practice\, you can claim one “unit” for each hour of attendance\, refreshment breaks not included. \nAbout the speakers\nProfessor Amy Holtzworth-Munroe’s extensive research spans over 30 years\, and includes developing best methods of identifying and assessing intimate partner violence (IPV) risks. Professor Holtzworth-Munroe’s cutting-edge work assists family law and health practitioners worldwide to implement evidence based approaches to IPV screening and risk assessment. \nDr. Troy McEwan is a clinical and forensic psychologist and academic who specialises in risk assessment and treatment of stalkers and family violence perpetrators. Dr. McEwan is co-author of various stalking risk assessment instruments and trains practitioners around the world in best practice responses to stalking. Currently Dr. McEwan is working with Victoria Police to introduce evidence-based risk assessment approaches for family violence cases. \nDr. Jamie Lee\, Principal Researcher at Relationships Australia SA (RASA)\, will talk about universal screening using tools such as the Family Law Detection of Overall Risk Screen (FL-DOORS).
