SUMMARY:Identifying Gaslighting eWorkshop 27-May-2022
DESCRIPTION:As the knowledge of ‘gaslighting’ is increasing in the general public it is important to know how to identify what exactly gaslighting is. It is also important to know when someone is exposed to gaslighting\, as this area is important for clients to understand that it is not about their behaviour but about the behaviour of the one gaslighting them. \nGaslighting at times is misused to identify relationships problems so it is important to know what is and is not gaslighting. This eWorkshop will also cover incorrectly identifying gaslighting in a relationship\, as this can be as equally destructive to the repair of that relationship. There will be times that you may find yourself supporting clients that are using gaslighting so attendees will look at the strategies to address this in clients. \nThe workshop will cover: \n\n\nHow to identify ‘gaslighting’ \n\n\nHow to identify being exposed to ‘gaslighting’. \n\n\nIdentify the misuse of the term gaslighting. \n\n\nIdentify if clients are using gaslighting in their relationships or even towards the practitioner in a session. \n\n\nLearn what to do if a client is gaslighting you in a session \n\n\nWhen: Friday 27th May 2022 from 9.00am to 12.30pm. \nWhere: Online\, delivered via zoom. You will receive a zoom link prior to the workshop where you will be able to access the eWorkshop. \nCost: The early bird booking is $195.00 if registration occurs before 13th May 2022 (GST included). The fee for registrations after the 13th May is $250.00 (GST included). \nTo register: Register and complete payment. A Tax Invoice will be emailed to you. The payment needs to be completed before the workshop occurs\, for the registration to be fully confirmed. \nFacilitators: David Nancarrow \nDavid has worked for the last 17 years in a range of professional roles. He has extensive experience in working with the Education Department and working with school social behaviours and anger management counselling. As a mediator\, David has worked with clients who had high levels of conflict\, domestic violence and relationship breakdowns. This led him to develop the ‘Core Value’ therapy for anger management\, conflict and mental health issues. \nHe has spoken several times at the Australian International Mental Health Conferences about the success of this therapy. He is passionate about delivering and training professionals in Father Inclusive Practice. He has developed programs for the Education and Youth Justice Department\, called ‘My Path’ which is a social behaviour program for teenage males who are not attending school. \nAs a child consultant David specialized in symbol and sand tray therapy for children of separated families. He has managed a Mental Illness organisation which utilized the Boston Model of Recovery for mentally ill clients. Also\, he is the author of two books\, ‘What’s for Tea Dad’\, a fun interactive cookbook for first time dads and ‘Honey I am Pregnant’\, a manual for first-time dads. Both are available as free e-books. \nCurrently David works delivering Mental Health and Wellbeing training for OzHelp Tasmania and the business sector. David’s goal is to help equip people to be mentally and emotionally healthy to have successful and lasting relationships with themselves and others. \n
