DESCRIPTION:Perfectionism in children and young people is common and can have substantial negative effects on the child or young person. \nThis 3-hour eWorkshop will help professionals working with children\, young people\, and their families recognise when perfectionism may be a problem for a child or young person as well as set out simple\, practical strategies for supporting children and young people who may be troubled by perfectionism. \n The training will cover: \n\n\nDifferent types of perfectionism \n\n\nThe impact of perfectionism on children and young people \n\n\nPerfectionism and its association with common mental health difficulties \n\n\nHow parents and carers can support a child who may be troubled by perfectionism \n\n\nSupporting the perfectionistic child/young person in school \n\n\nThe training will be highly interactive and the participants will be encouraged to ask questions at any time. \nWhen: Thursday\, 14th March 2024 from 9:30am to 12.30pm. (AEDT) \nWhere: Online eWorkshop via Zoom. If payment has been received\, you will receive the Zoom details in the week prior to the eWorkshop . \nCost: The early bird booking is $195.00 (GST incl) if registered before 29th February 2024\, after the 29th February 2024 the Full Price is $250.00 (GST incl). Payment is required before attending the eWorkshop. \nTo register: Register and complete payment. A Tax Invoice will be emailed to you. The payment needs to be completed before the workshop occurs\, for the registration to be fully confirmed. \nFacilitator: David Cherry \nThe training will be run by David Cherry\, a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who has been working for over 40 years.  David worked on out of home care for 14 years.  In addtion\, David had a private practice as a psychologist for over 25 years during which time he worked extensively with children\, young people\, and their families.  He also worked with schools to help support children with behavioural\, physical\, emotional and/or learning difficulties. \n
