DESCRIPTION:The GROW model of coaching offers a practical framework for working with clients or others with two powerful outcomes – increasing the level of awareness and increasing the level of perceived responsibility.  \nIn this session\, we will outline the differences between coaching and other modalities of intervention\, then describe the practical steps involved in applying the GROW model. We will cover a number of scenarios and examples specific to family dispute resolution (FDR) and describe possible responses that could be used in either a funded or private practice setting. \n\n  \n\nLearning outcomes\n\nUnderstand the differences between coaching and other interventions that can be used in FDR practice.\nUnderstand the GROW model of coaching and how it can be applied.\nAwareness of options for using GROW coaching in both one to one as well as joint mediation sessions.\nUnderstand how the GROW model can be used as a directive intervention in specific areas\, including reducing conflict with the other parent or increasing flexibility in negotiating financial settlement.\n\n
