SUMMARY:What Works for Men? Engaging Men in Prevention
DESCRIPTION:Gain knowledge\, insights\, practical advice and strategies for the critically important work of engaging men in the prevention of family violence. \nIt can be challenging to engage men in the prevention of family violence\, however\, it’s a crucial approach for supporting a more inclusive and effective way to prevent family violence. Not only does it help to prevent violence\, but it also contributes to the broader goals of promoting healthy relationships\, gender equality\, and a safer\, more equitable society for everyone.  \nJoin our upcoming panel discussion to learn how to effective positive change by responding to and combatting issues and challenges to engaging men\, including: \n\nsocietal norms and gender stereotypes\ndefensive reactions\nlack of awareness\nfear of stigmatisation\ncultural and religious factors.\n\nYou’ll hear from experts across the family violence\, respectful relationships and community services sectors about what works and what doesn’t when engaging men in family violence prevention.\n \nLearning outcomes  \nDuring this webinar\, you’ll:  \n\ngain an understanding of why it’s critical to engage men in primary prevention of family violence\nlearn how to engage effectively with men from a range of different communities and backgrounds\nexplore some of the key challenges involved in this work\nhear stories and learn from programs that effectively engage men.\n\nIdeal for  \nA range of workers in community organisations\, social services\, schools or businesses who want to engage men in preventing family violence. \nRegistration information  \nRegistrations close 48 hours before the webinar start time. \nIf paying by invoice\, proof of payment needs to be provided at least 24 hours ahead of the event. \nIn addition to the live event link\, all registrants will receive a link to the webinar recording post-event. \nWhen you click to book\, you will be taken to our payment gateway.
