SUMMARY:Working Well - For managers\, co-ordinators & supervisors - Canberra ACT

This two-day workshop will provide you with an understanding of the importance of individual Self Care\, and the practical steps that managers\, co-ordinators and supervisors can take to support staff. You will also explore ways to ensure your organisation takes responsibility for worker well-being. \nOver the two-day workshop you will: \n\nlearn about the key concepts of workplace stress\, burnout\, secondary traumatic stress/vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue\nunderstand Self Care and its importance as a competency for people in helping roles\nexplore what constitutes personal and professional self care\ndevelop personal and professional self care plans\nunderstand ‘psychological harm’ in the context of Work\, Health and Safety legislation\ndiscover research based interventions for ensuring worker well-being at a service level\nexplore specific strategies for supporting staff to practice individual self care\nlearn what resilient teams and organisations look like\nplan ways to promote and facilitate worker well-being in teams\nconsider how to create and maintain a culture of resilience and well-being across your agency.\n\n
