DESCRIPTION:The Australian Aged Care Quality Agency’s 2018 Better Practice for the Future Conference will help the aged care sector to prepare for new reforms including the transition to the new Aged Care Quality Standards which increase the focus on quality outcomes for consumers. \nOur conference theme Living the life I choose – Safety\, health and wellbeing aims to explore how we meaningfully engage and partner with consumers in shaping the future of aged care. \nDay one will explore the quality journey and how aged care services have partnered with consumers to meet their needs and preferences by reflecting on lessons learnt. \nDay two will focus on the quality journey through the new Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory framework as a platform for service innovation by exploring innovative models that promote consumer independence\, function and enjoyment. \nThis year we have some exciting additions to the conference program\, with the inclusion of a pre-conference workshop hosted by the Australian Aged Care Complaints Commissioner and a Better Practice Awards dinner to recognise and celebrate innovation and excellence in aged care \nFor more information and to book online\, please go to our conference website. \n
