DESCRIPTION:1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching is a one-day professional learning course to equips you with the skills to manage children’s difficult behaviour. \n1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching is based on two underlying perspectives on parenting: first\, that children can be taught to respond more flexibly when they are frustrated or upset and second\, that parents and carers can be taught easy-to-use skills they can use at particular parenting moments.The professional training includes role-play\, group discussion\, worksheets and videos. \nCourses available via webinar and face to face all around Australia. \nCertification – a new way of working starting in 2021\nTo become a certified parent educator\, you’ll be provided with additional resources needed in order to present to parents. This ensures that our product is only being taught at the highest quality. There are several benefits in becoming certified:\nCertification is renewed each year. certification is $69 per person for the first year \, thereafter there will be a $49 membership fee charged annually to remain a certified parent educator. \n

SUMMARY:Online Workshop: Managing Challenging Behaviours
DESCRIPTION:Learn strategies to diffuse difficult situations\, manage intense emotions\, and move towards positive solutions. \nEveryone gets frustrated or angry on occasion\, particularly when they are under pressure. Most people deal with their anger and frustrations in ways that are socially acceptable and appropriate. Other people however\, may deal with their anger and other strong emotions in unhelpful ways that do not lead to a resolution. They may even make the situation worse. \nIn this workshop\, we will discuss and practice strategies that you can use to diffuse situations where clients\, colleagues or community members may be exhibiting strong emotions and/or difficult behaviours. When using these strategies\, it is important to have an understanding of your own particular triggers and how you can manage your own emotions. \nLearning outcomes \nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be able to: \n\nexplain how and why people react to difficult situations physically and emotionally\napply strategies for helping others to manage emotions\ndevelop and apply effective communication skills\narticulate and apply conflict management strategies\ndemonstrate an understanding of how to monitor and maintain self-care.\n\nIdeal for \nA range of workers in community organisations\, social services\, schools or businesses dealing with challenging clients or colleagues. \n
