DESCRIPTION:Since 2014\, when key legislative changes in the Family Court in Aotearoa New Zealand (NZ) came into effect\, Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) has been key to supporting separating and separated parents and guardians as they attempt to reach agreements on day-to-day care\, contact\, residence and guardianship matters.\nAlmost a decade on\, practitioners now have an opportunity to reflect on our progress to date and share our learnings. \n\n  \nLearning outcomes\nIn this webinar\, participants will have the opportunity to: \n\nconsider the importance of preparing for mediation\nreflect on the importance of continually assessing parties and circumstances for ongoing suitability for the FDR process\nconsider different styles of child-inclusive practice\nconsider the appropriate use of parenting programs and apps during the FDR process\nreflect on differing styles of drafting mediated outcomes.\n\n\n\n  \nIdeal for\nFamily law practitioners\, family dispute resolution practitioners\, family workers\, health and community practitioners and individual counsellors/therapists. \n\n  \n\nAbout the presenter\nTimothy is a Senior Manager and Change Leader. He has significant experience establishing and supporting a range of differing services for various NGOs across NZ. \nHe’s also a contributing writer for Lexis Nexis\, Resolution Expert for Our Family Wizard and an active FDR practitioner and parenting coordinator. \nTimothy was the winner of the 2020 NZ Local Heroes Awards and the 2017 NZ Law Awards Mediator of the Year and was the winner of the Resolution Institute 2015 Practitioner Award for Significant Contribution to Dispute Resolution for the development and promotion of dispute resolution in his community. \nTimothy was also a runner up for Mediator of the Year in the 2015 and 2019 NZ Law Awards. \n  \nFormat\n75 minutes of content and 15 minutes of moderated Q&As. \n  \nRegistration information\nRegistrations close 48 hours before the webinar start time. \nIf paying by invoice\, proof of payment needs to be provided at least 24 hours ahead of the event. \nIn addition to the live event link\, all registrants will receive a link to the webinar recording post-event. \nWhen you click to book\, you will be taken to our new and improved payment gateway. DESCRIPTION:Nurture your classroom with play!\nLearn how to introduce this amazing\, evidence based\, social-emotional development group to your school.  Sunshine Circles ® are adult-directed and structured\, but rather than talking\, the teacher leads playful\, cooperative and nurturing activities. Sunshine Circles can very quickly and dramatically improve the quality of the classroom and provide teachers with resources to maintain an emotionally positive and cognitively enriched environment. \nSunshine Circles® is a group based on Theraplay® principles that focuses on the social and emotional development of children. Sunshine Circles gives children an opportunity to practice their self-regulation skills\, co-regulation skills and to feel encouraged to have a go at achievable challenges. Educators lead playful\, cooperative and nurturing activities to create an atmosphere of fun\, caring\, acceptance and encouragement. The goal is to enhance children’s social\, emotional and cognitive development. \nChildren generally embrace the three rules of Sunshine Circles… No Hurts\, Stick Together and Have Fun!… and carry them with them throughout the day.
