SUMMARY:Case Notes and Record Keeping eWorkshop 13-November-2024
DESCRIPTION:Keeping good case notes and records can be hard.  It may be very time consuming and some staff may not know what to record or how to record in the most efficient way. \nThis 3 hour eWorkshop will help in taking some of the pain out of keeping case notes by giving clear guidelines on the how and why of recording as well as giving suggestions on what should be recorded. \nKeeping good case notes and records can be hard.  It may be very time-consuming\, and some staff may not know what to record or how to record efficiently. \nThis training will help in taking some of the pain out of keeping case notes by giving clear guidelines on the how and why of recording as well as giving suggestions on what should be \nrecorded. \nThe training covers: \n\n\nwhy keep case notes and records? (this section includes a discussion on professional andlegal obligations); what is a record? \n\n\ncommon mistakes when keeping case notes and records and how to avoid them how to write in a way that is easy to defend and hard to attack \n\n\nhow to write case notes and keep records in a way that is respectful of the client and allows the worker to discharge their professional responsibilities. \n\n\nThe training will be highly interactive and the participants will be encouraged to ask questions at any time. \nDetailed notes will be provided. \nWhen: Wednesday\, 13th November 2024 from 9:30am to 12.30pm (AEDT). \nWhere: Online eWorkshop via Zoom. If payment has been received\, you will receive the Zoom details in the week prior to the eWorkshop . \nCost: The early bird booking is $195.00 (GST incl) if registered before 30th Oct 2024\, after the 30th Oct 2024 the Full Price is $250.00 (GST incl). The payment needs to be completed before the workshop occurs\, for the registration to be fully confirmed. \nFacilitator: David Cherry\nDavid Cherry is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who has been working for over 40 years. David has run training on how to keep case notes and records for over 30 years. David has a particular interest in assisting people to prepare to give evidence as professional witnesses and sees keeping good case notes as part of the preparation process. David has given evidence in court on over 400 occasions in Family Court\, child protection\, criminal and civil matters. \n

DESCRIPTION:Join our interactive online workshop\, and gain knowledge\, practical advice and strategies to engage dads\, father-figures and families in positive and effective ways.\nThrough collaborative group discussion\, you’ll develop strategies for supporting dads in your community and learn skills for creating more dad-friendly programs and services. \nLearning outcomes\nAt the end of this workshop\, you’ll be able to: \n\nexplain what makes dads important\narticulate the 7 different ways to be a dad\ndiscuss dad-focused programs\, research and work across Australia\neffectively promote programs and services to dads\nsupport dads to create positive family relationships\ngive examples of ways that dads can maintain work and family balance\ncreate dad-focused services and spaces\ndemonstrate an understanding of the issues impacting dads who work from home and ways to manage these\nplan for future work with dads.\n\nIdeal for\nA range of workers in community organisations\, social services\, schools or businesses who want to better support the needs of fathers. \nAbout the presenter\nShaun Tonkes is a social worker and for the past 5 years has been working for the Salvation Army as a Parenting Support Practitioner focusing on fathers. He has experience delivering several father-focused programs including ‘Dads Tuning in to Kids’ and ‘Baby Makes 3’. Prior to his current work\, Shaun spent 7 years living and working with remote communities in the Northern Territory as a Team Leader of Intensive Family Support. Currently\, Shaun delivers Relationships Australia Victoria’s Support for Fathers ‘DadStuff’ program as well as ‘Working with Dads’ training for professionals and service providers. He also works with the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute and Tweddle on the ‘Working out Dads’ program. \nRegistration information\n\nWhen you register\, you’ll be taken to our payment gateway to complete your registration.
