DESCRIPTION:This eWorkshop is for anyone who may have to work with individuals who may be angry and potentially aggressive. \nThe aim of the eWorkshop is to assist the participants to develop their skills in keeping themselves safe and in defusing situations where individuals may be aggressive. \nThis training is for anyone who may have to work with individuals who may be angry and potentially aggressive. The training aims to assist the participants in developing their skills in keeping themselves safe and in defusing situations where individuals may be aggressive and will cover: \n\n\nManaging your feelings in difficult circumstances \n\n\nMinimising risk \n\n\nLegal issues \n\n\nGuidelines for managing difficult situations \n\n\nGeneral principles for managing difficult behaviour \n\n\nUsing language that does not create resistance \n\n\nA suggested structure for some difficult conversations \n\n\nDealing with individuals according to their different anger triggers and \n\n\nCommunication skills and strategies for defusing situations where individuals may be aggressive \n\n\nThe training will be highly interactive and the participants will be encouraged to ask questions at any time. \nDetailed notes will be provided. \nWhen: Tuesday\, 11th February 2024 from 9:30am to 12.30pm.(AEDT) \nWhere: Online eWorkshop delivered via Zoom. You will receive the Zoom details one week prior to the eWorkshop. \nCost: The early bird booking is $195.00 registration (GST included) if registered before 28th January 2025\, if registered after the 28th January 2025 then the Full Price is $250.00. \nTo register: Register and complete payment. David has provided training for over 20\,000 people in agencies all around Australia\, assisting staff to learn how to keep themselves safe in difficult situations and develop their skills in defusing situations where individuals may be aggressive. David’s book entitled Managing Violent and Potentially Violent Situations Guide for Individuals and Organisations\, which co-wrote with Bronwyn Upston\, has been distributed to 4000 emergency relief providers Australia-wide. \n
