DESCRIPTION:Mediation Training Course: CHCSS00142 Mediation Skill Set and National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS)/Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS)*\n*Subject to approval by the AMDRAS Board \n  \nBecome an accredited mediator with our intensive course and assessment.\n\nLearn to facilitate mediation\, a structured and facilitated negotiation process for resolving disputes.\nGain the practical skills needed to be a mediator – an independent and impartial person who assists people in conflict to generate options\, negotiate agreements and resolve disputes.\nDevelop knowledge and skills of the mediation process\, and how to apply these when working with clients\, customers and colleagues\, including across workplaces and community settings.\n\nThis course provides nationally recognised training and assessment for the CHCSS00142 Mediation Skill Set through the Australian Qualifications Framework. \nAfter successful completion of the course and assessment day\, you will be eligible to apply for National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS)/Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) Accreditation. \nYou will then be ready to take the next step in your career! \nCourse completion also meets the requirements for entry into the CHC81115 Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution. \n\n\nCourse dates\nPlease note: In order to complete the course\, you must attend all sessions listed below. The introductory webinar will be recorded for those who cannot attend the live session. SUMMARY:Difficult Conversations-How To Talk to Adults About Almost Anything eWorkshop 13 May 2025
DESCRIPTION:This 3 hour eWorkshop is for any staff who may have difficult conversations with clients\, other service providers or work colleagues. \nThe eWorkshop will cover: \n\n\nhow to structure a difficult conversation and find a positive purpose \n\n\nthe importance of empathy and when not to empathise \n\n\nkeeping the conversation on track \n\n\nusing language that does not create resistance \n\n\nrecognising when not to have a difficult conversation and how to leave a conversation that may be unhelpful \n\n\ngaining agreement with the other party \n\n\nmaking a plan for the future \n\n\nAt the end of the training\, the participants will have: \n\n\ndeveloped their skills in preparing for a difficult conversation \n\n\nhave extended their knowledge and skills in how to structure a difficult conversation \n\n\nexpanded their knowledge and developed their skills in using language that does not create resistance in the other party or parties \n\n\nhave developed their capacity to be flexible in responding to the capacity and needs of the other party or parties when having a difficult conversation. \n\n\nThe topics covered will be tailored to the needs of the group and could include:  delivering difficult news to individuals and families; supporting individuals who may be distressed; difficult performance conversations; responding to the difficult behaviour of another person; responding when another person criticises you; personality clashes in the workplace; when to engage in mediation and when not to engage in mediation; difficult conversations in close relationships\, among many other possible topics. \nThe training will be highly interactive and the participants will be encouraged to ask questions at any time. \nDetailed notes will be provided. \nWhen: Tuesday\, 13th May 2025 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.(AEST) \nWhere: Online eWorkshop via Zoom. If payment has been received\, you will receive the Zoom details in the week prior to the eWorkshop . \nCost: The early bird booking is $195.00 (GST inc) if registered before 29th April 2025\, after the 29th April the Full Price is $250.00 (GST incl). Payment is required before attending the eWorkshop. \nTo register: Register and complete payment. A Tax Invoice will be emailed to you. The payment needs to be completed before the workshop occurs\, for the registration to be fully confirmed. \nFacilitator: The training will be run by David Cherry\, a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who has been working for over 40 years. David has extensive experience in conducting difficult conversations concerning: delivering difficult news; looking after individuals who are acutely emotionally distressed; difficult performance conversations and managing conflict in addition to his wide experience in providing training on how to conduct difficult conversations. \n
