DESCRIPTION:Mediation Training Course: CHCSS00142 Mediation Skill Set and National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS)/Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS)*\n*Subject to approval by the AMDRAS Board \n  \nBecome an accredited mediator with our intensive course and assessment.\n\nLearn to facilitate mediation\, a structured and facilitated negotiation process for resolving disputes.\nGain the practical skills needed to be a mediator – an independent and impartial person who assists people in conflict to generate options\, negotiate agreements and resolve disputes.\nDevelop knowledge and skills of the mediation process\, and how to apply these when working with clients\, customers and colleagues\, including across workplaces and community settings.\n\nThis course provides nationally recognised training and assessment for the CHCSS00142 Mediation Skill Set through the Australian Qualifications Framework. \nAfter successful completion of the course and assessment day\, you will be eligible to apply for National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS)/Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) Accreditation. \nYou will then be ready to take the next step in your career! \nCourse completion also meets the requirements for entry into the CHC81115 Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution. \n\n\nCourse dates\nPlease note: In order to complete the course\, you must attend all sessions listed below. The introductory webinar will be recorded for those who cannot attend the live session. SUMMARY:The Occasional Counsellor ™- eWorkshop 26th -May-2025
DESCRIPTION:The Occasional Counsellor™ training is for anyone who wants to learn to support others who may be acutely emotionally distressed. \nThe focus of the training is on teaching the participants simple\, practical strategies for assisting individuals who are sad\, upset\, bewildered\, angry\, or confused. \nThe training covers: \n\n\npreparing psychologically to work in difficult environments \n\n\nthe skills of the helper including communication skills \n\n\ntips on keeping yourself safe during home visits and site visits \n\n\nthe difference between emotional support and counselling \n\n\nsimple\, practical strategies for supporting individuals who may be acutely emotionally distressed including people who may be suicidal \n\n\nself-care for the worker \n\n\nThe training will be highly interactive and the participants will be encouraged to ask questions at any time. \nDetailed notes will be provided. \nWhen: Monday\, 26th May 2025 from 9:30am to 12.30pm.(AEST) \nWhere: Online eWorkshop delivered via Zoom. You will receive the Zoom details one week prior to the eWorkshop. \nCost: The early bird booking is $195.00 registration (GST included) if registered before 12th May 2025\, if registered after the 12th May 2025 then the Full Price is $250.00. \nTo register: Register and complete payment. A Tax Invoice will be emailed to you. The payment needs to be completed before the workshop occurs\, for the registration to be fully confirmed. \nFacilitator: David Cherry \nThe training will be run by David Cherry a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who has been working for over 40 years. David has provided training for staff in health\, education\, aged \ncare\, disability\, and those working with the homeless on looking after people who are acutely emotionally distressed. He has also provided training for emergency services staff \non supporting others after difficult incidents. David was a volunteer with the Victorian SES for 4 years during which time he was involved in road crash rescue\, searches\, assisting people after storms\, and other duties. \n
