DESCRIPTION:Mediation Training Course: CHCSS00142 Mediation Skill Set and National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS)/Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS)*\n*Subject to approval by the AMDRAS Board \n  \nBecome an accredited mediator with our intensive course and assessment.\n\nLearn to facilitate mediation\, a structured and facilitated negotiation process for resolving disputes.\nGain the practical skills needed to be a mediator – an independent and impartial person who assists people in conflict to generate options\, negotiate agreements and resolve disputes.\nDevelop knowledge and skills of the mediation process\, and how to apply these when working with clients\, customers and colleagues\, including across workplaces and community settings.\n\nThis course provides nationally recognised training and assessment for the CHCSS00142 Mediation Skill Set through the Australian Qualifications Framework. \nAfter successful completion of the course and assessment day\, you will be eligible to apply for National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS)/Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) Accreditation. \nYou will then be ready to take the next step in your career! \nCourse completion also meets the requirements for entry into the CHC81115 Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution. \n\n\nCourse dates\nPlease note: In order to complete the course\, you must attend all sessions listed below. The introductory webinar will be recorded for those who cannot attend the live session. SUMMARY:Managing Difficult Calls eWorkshop 12-June-2025
DESCRIPTION:This 3-hour webinar is for any staff who may have to manage difficult calls and covers: \n\n\nPreparing for difficult calls; \n\n\nThe different types of difficult calls and callers and issues associated with the different types of calls and callers; \n\n\nManaging your own feelings in difficult circumstances; \n\n\nUsing language that does not create resistance in the other person; \n\n\nA suggested structure for some difficult conversations and; \n\n\nHow to manage different types of calls or callers including people who are angry\, distressed\, bewildered or confused; \n\n\nThe rambler\, the person who does not understand and; \n\n\nThe suicidal caller. \n\n\nSelf-care for the worker will also be discussed. \n\n\nAt the end of the webinar the participants will: \n\n\nHave developed their knowledge in how to prepare for difficult calls; \n\n\nHave extended their skills in responding to difficult calls and; \n\n\nHave broadened their knowledge of self-care strategies. \n\n\nWhen: Thursday\, 12th June 2025 from 9:30am to 12.30pm. (AEST) \nWhere: Online eWorkshop via Zoom. If payment has been received\, you will receive the Zoom details in the week prior to the eWorkshop . \nCost: The early bird booking is $195.00 (GST incl) if registered before 29th May 2025\, after the 29th May the Full Price is $250.00 (GST incl). David has run training on managing difficult calls for over 5000 people\, including staff and volunteers working on national support lines. David has also provided training for staff in emergency services on managing difficult calls as well many other state government departments. \n
