CentacareCQ has an opportunity for a full-time Counsellor to join their dedicated Health and Wellbeing Services Team in Bundaberg.
This rewarding position provides therapeutic counselling and psycho-educational and developmental therapeutic programs to children, individuals, couples and families in accordance with the Family Law Act 1975 (Family Counsellors).
Counsellor duties include:
Providing therapeutic counselling to individuals couples, families and children
Providing primary dispute resolution processes through counselling, conciliation and mediation
Developing, planning and supervising the implementation of psycho-educational, developmental therapeutic programs, and community education activities
Implementing client outcome measures in accordance with service guidelines, funding accountability and professional responsibilities
Providing response to critical stress incidents and to post traumatic stress disorders
Travelling to provide services at a range of CentacareCQ sites including, but not limited to, schools and ACCESSCQ (Employee Assistance Program) contract holder sites
Networking with other community agencies and stakeholders, and providing appropriate client referrals as needed
Working flexible hours to meet client needs, including possible work outside of normal business hours
Completing all required administrative duties including case notes, client bookings and the collection of storage and data as per organisation policies and procedures
