Conference e-Journals

Every FRSA National Conference we invite presenters to submit a written paper for peer review that builds on and presents the content of their accepted abstract in a different form. In 2024, for the first time, we introduced a second type of paper – Practice Insights – as well as full Journal Articles. Practice Insight papers are shorter in word length and enable authors to share practice insights and early evidence or a conceptual proposal that is relevant, well thought out and accessible for an audience of informed practitioners and/or policy makers. Submitted papers are blind peer reviewed twice, and, if successful, included in the e-Journal which is published at the end of conference here on the FRSA website.

FRSA 2024 Conference e-Journal
May 2024

FRSA is proud to launch this sixth e-Journal of peer-reviewed papers from the annual FRSA National Conference.

This e-Journal expands on the FRSA National Conference 2024 theme Family and Relationships Services: Valued now and into the future. This year’s e-Journal features 7 papers – 3 Articles and 4 Practice Insights papers – covering diverse topics that speak to particular cohorts at different stages through the lifecourse. The e-Journal showcases a breadth of practice wisdom, research evidence and insights that reflect our sector’s value and our sector’s potential. The result is an exciting collection of papers that I trust will provoke thought and inspire action across the sector and more broadly.

FRSA 2016 Conference e-Journal
November 2016

This first edition e-journal reflects the FRSA National Conference 2016 theme Measuring Success in the family and relationship sector for the wellbeing of children, families and communities.

Developed from the 56 successful abstracts submitted to the Conference, authors were invited to expand on their ideas and submit a 6,000 word paper. After an extensive blind review process, those successful were selected for publication in the e-journal.

Following the Conference concurrent session streams, the successful papers focus on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services, the first 1000 days, and successful workforce preparedness in the sector (originally submitted for the 2015 FRSA Conference).

FRSA is very excited to launch this publication and look forward to publishing future e-Journals that align with FRSA Conferences in years to come.
