WEBINAR – Resilience in our Teens™ for Parents and Anxiety Screening
September 1 @ 6:30 pm - September 15 @ 8:45 pm AEST
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on [day], repeating indefinitely
Parenting has got to be the hardest job on the planet – but it’s also the most rewarding. We are often plagued with worries as parents – will our teen do well in life, will they be happy and safe, how will they cope with future problems.
But sometimes it can seem like our teens are burdened with their own anxieties too. Everyone becomes anxious, but how do we know if our teen’s anxiety is out of the ordinary? Sometimes it can be hard to tell if their worries are anxiety, or just a part of normal day to day life.
Resilience In Our Teens™ is a child development course that aims to support you and your teen through the ups and downs of life. It is what we call a ‘parent-led’ approach, meaning that you take on the role of the coach in your teen’s life, and are able to guide them through emotionally distressing episodes. Designed & developed by psychologist, author and teacher Michael Hawton, it equips you with a practical and easy set of tools, and a solid understanding of the theory behind these to enable you to build resilience in your child.
This course includes an anxiety screening test pre-course commencement. You will be required to fill out two short surveys before commencing the course. You will be posted a parent workbook for use during the webinar and a FREE copy of Michael Hawton’s book Engaging Adolescents.
Please note times are AEDT. Registrations for the webinar will close 2 weeks before the webinar start date so that we can post out your workbook. The course is presenting on one evening a week, 6:30-8:45pm, for three consecutive weeks.
Please note that posting onto the Events & Training calendar is reserved for FRSA Members only.
