Your new role

  • Fulltime , permanent (part time 30hrs will be considered) based in Deakin, ACT
  • Annual Salary between $119,089.36   to $125,576.75, plus Superannuation, NFP Salary Packaging, Paid Christmas closure and other generous leave provisions under our Enterprise Agreement.

The Manager provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across programs supporting children, young people, parents, and families, through counselling, group and gambling harm clinical and peer-led interventions.

Duties:

Under limited direction from the Director CCP, the Manager Counselling Services is responsible for:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership of Counselling Services programs to ensure contractual, performance, compliance and stakeholder relationship obligations.
  • Embed and oversee clinical governance across portfolio, ensuring safe, ethical, and effective practice.
  • Lead and support the Team Leader(s), Senior Clinicians, and practitioners providing clear direction, oversight and workforce planning.
  • Hold accountability for budget management, financial monitoring, and forecasting for all Counselling Service programs.
  • Work collaboratively with other CCP Managers to ensure service integration, shared practice standards, and coordinated client pathways across counselling and community programs.

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing, with current registration or memberships (AASW, AHPRA, PACFA, ACA Level 2+). Minimum two years post qualification experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary clinical teams, including operational, financial, and service performance management.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of the impacts of gambling harm, including current best practices for assessment, intervention, and support strategies.
  4. Proven capability to integrate clinical governance and operational management to achieve safe, effective, and evidence-based client outcomes.
  5. Strong budgeting, contract management, and performance reporting skills with experience in delivering on funding and compliance requirements.
