Baptist Care SA Friendship Program matches locals from the community to new arrivals with a refugee or asylum seeker background, to assist them to settle in Adelaide. Volunteers are asked to make a commitment of a minimum of 6 hours per month for a minimum of 6 months.

The training is designed to equip people for their volunteer role, to provide a better understanding of the issues associated with refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds, and to debunk misunderstandings and misinformation about refugees and asylum seekers.
