FRSA Webinar – Continuing the conversation: Prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children in Australia

December 17, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm AEDT

The National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children, which was endorsed by the Council of Australian Governments in April 2009, reaches the end of its life in 2020. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Australia’s children remains, of course, an ongoing challenge and a responsibility for family and relationship – and other –services, and for the broader community.

How can we best ensure the safety and wellbeing of our children? What should a future national framework look like?

FRSA hosted a panel discussion at its National Conference on 22 November 2019 to start to answer these questions. This webinar brings back our panel members to continue that discussion.

The webinar will be chaired by Teresa Jayet, Chief Executive Officer of Mallee Family Care, and FRSA Board Deputy Chairperson.

Panel Members: Professor Daryl Higgins, Institute of Child Protection Studies, Australian Catholic University; Megan Mitchell, Australian Human Rights Commission; and, Eliza Strapp, Families Taskforce, Department of Social Services

Continue the conversation with us and the panel on Tuesday, 17 December 2019 at 2PM – 3PM AEDT time.
