February 28 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pmFree
Keynote Speaker: Terry O’Connell OAM
The members, staff and board of Conflict Resolution Service (CRS) warmly invites you to its upcoming Annual General Meeting for the 2015-16 reporting period to hear keynote speaker, Terry O’Connell OAM present on the topic of:
‘Now That We Are Being Noticed: Where To From Here? – Importance of Explicit Restorative Practice’
We know that alternative dispute resolution approaches are a well-tested way of managing conflict and disputes. They are now being complemented by restorative approaches. The ACT Government has signalled its intention for Canberra to be declared a ‘Restorative City’, and restorative practice is increasingly being recognised as way to respond to conflict in challenging social areas including elder abuse, disability, domestic and family violence, and child protection and out-of-home care.
Please RSVP by 23 February 2017 via Eventbright at www.goo.gl/6Fowk5.

On the 10 February 2016 the ACT Legislative Assembly called on the ACT Government to:
“Work towards the declaration of Canberra as a restorative city, which will confirm its commitment to exploring and implementing creative solutions to shared problems using restorative processes and continuing the ACT’s vision for safety and more connected communities”
