Walk In Our Shoes Youth Festival – QPASTT

This annual Walk In Our Shoes Youth Festival, is currently being organised by the Youth Voice Brisbane, an initiative of QPASTT which will be held during the June 2018 on a weekend. The event is a multicultural festival targeted at young people aged 12 to 25, which celebrates the diversity and talents of young people living in the greater Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan areas. The free event is an opportunity for teens and young adults to learn about the experience of refugees and migrants their age. Event attendees will be randomly matched into pairs and encouraged to share their stories during the walk around Yeronga Park. They will also be able to participate in a range of free workshops, Q&A style debate sessions, and sporting activities, jumping castle, face-painting, or enjoy live music and performances and food from around the world. Registered walk participants will also have the opportunity to win lucky draw prizes.
Youth Voice Brisbane is seeking expressions of interest from service providers, food and drink stall holders, musicians, dancers, artists and volunteers who are interested in becoming involved in the event. The performances, stalls or activities offered should be suitable and engaging for young people aged 12 – 25.
