This accredited course is suitable for counselling practitioners or equivalent, seeking to develop advanced skills to work with families, couples and individuals affected by domestic and family violence. The course is aligned with with current practice requirements, guidelines and legal/statutory frameworks. Subjects include domestic and family violence practice with children, young people and families; collaborative practice and risk management; separation, family law and child-focused parenting arrangements. The course is delivered face-to-face over a 12-month period, split into two semesters.

• The first semester consists of weekly face-to-face classes and skills workshops.
• The second semester consists of a fully-arranged and supported work placement for all students, along with monthly face-to-face seminars.
