Families Australia, supported by the Australian Government Department of Social Services, is hosting the 6th Child Aware Conference at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, 16-17 May 2019. The conference aims to advance the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children, the National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children, and the well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This conference is hosted by the Queensland University of Technology, the University of Southern Queensland and the Queensland Department of Education and Training's Behaviour Support Service. This conference will explore the issues of complex childhood trauma and the need for trauma aware practice in schools. Registrations are now open for attendees and presentation submissions by professionals at all stages of their careers are invited until 1 March 2019.
